Hart House Chorus

Introduction

The Hart House Chorus is a 50-voice choir auditioned from musically talented students, faculty, and alumni of the University of Toronto. We perform twice annually in the Great Hall at Hart House. Rehearsals are Monday Nights from 5:30-7:30 pm.

Led by conductor Daniel Norman, the Chorus has a long-standing tradition and has maintained a reputation for the highest standard of performance locally, nationally, and abroad. Since its inception in 1972, they have competed and been featured locally, toured to Scandinavia, Czech Republic, Austria, Hungary and Slovakia, and have hosted choirs from various places, including the United States, Austria and Finland.

Like all Hart House clubs, membership is open to all. The aim of the Hart House Chorus is to provide talented musicians the opportunity to pursue excellence in music in a friendly, focused environment alongside individuals who share similar interests.
