Winter Carnival at Hart House Farm

Details: Warm up winter at Hart House Farm's Winter Carnival. While there may be snow outside, we'll celebrate indoors in the Carnival tradition with delicious, vegan Caribbean style food by Hot Yam! and Soca rhythms and dancing all night.

You may also want to brave the cold in the country with some outdoor recreational activities (weather permitting) include cross-country skiing, snow shoeing, skating, winter sports and an invigorating sauna. Please bring skis, snowshoes and/or skates.

Activities:

• Bread-making workshop by Hot Yam!
• Carnival mask-making workshop
• Outdoor winter sports (weather permitting)
• Wood-fired sauna
• Musical entertainment

Note:

Lunch, dinner and breakfast will be provided – please indicate if you have any dietary restrictions or allergies.
Bring warm clothing to enjoy the outdoor activities!
Bring swimming attire to enjoy the spring-fed ponds and sauna (no lifeguards are on duty so swim with a “buddy” or group).

*Pets are not permitted at the Farm.

Transportation: Buses leave Hart House Saturday morning at 11:00 am, expected departure from Hart House Farm is Sunday at 11:00 am.

*Please note that no children under 18 months will be allowed on bus; any young child on the bus must be able to sit up on their own (support their own weight) and have a parent/caregiver sitting beside them.

Cost:

1. $30 early price (before Wed. Jan. 25 at 5pm) - with bus (includes $3.45 HST)
2. $35 regular price (after Wed. Jan. 25 at 5pm) - with bus (includes $4.03 HST)

*Members may sponsor up to two guests. Kids under 12 are free. No pets please.

6. Left (N) on Creditview Road (Note: Creditview is a dirt / loose gravel road)
7. Watch for the HART HOUSE FARM sign on your right (approx 1.7 km). The Farm is down the laneway (approx 0.5km). 15911 Creditview Rd.
