About Leslie Stoyan:
Lesley Stoyan, the director and owner of Daily Apple, has a passion for health and fitness – not surprising; given her company tagline is “Fresh Living Made Fun”. She began teaching in Toronto in 1991 at the YWCA. Her passion for fitness took her to Montreal, where she continued her studies and worked with the YMCA, and several downtown commercial facilities and spas. After returning to Toronto, she focused on corporate fitness, working with companies such as Procter & Gamble, Imperial Oil, and Manulife Financial. She has also worked with teenage girls, emphasizing the importance of exercise and healthy living. Her teen work earned her a 10-episode series on City TV’s Breakfast Television, educating the public on the risks for youth associated with inactivity and poor lifestyle choices. In 2006, Lesley founded Daily Apple, incorporating the experience gained in her 15 years in the industry. The team at Daily Apple focus on creating “fresh events” , teaching clients the importance of taking care of your body and eating properly with a gourmet spin. In 2008, Lesley, alongside with her partner Chris, started the non-profit organization, AppleTree Markets, which connects urban communities to their local food source via farmers markets and free wellness programs. Their flagship location is at Yonge & Eglinton, in the heart of their North Toronto neighbourhood. Today, Daily Apple is one of the leading food and lifestyle companies in Toronto, teaching people the importance of fresh- air fitness, whole- foods nutrition and eco-friendly living.
