The Hart House Jazz Ensemble's debut album, Takin' A Chance, was recorded in May 2005, and features Sophia Perlman on vocals.

This project is the band's first venture into the studio recording process. It is the result of the investment of much hard work and the collective passion for music from all involved. You could even say everyone wore their Hart on their sleeves in creating this album. The Hart House Jazz Ensemble hopes you will enjoy listening to the music on this album as much as they enjoyed Takin' A Chance to bring it to your ears.
