Hart House Film Challenge

Presented by The Hart House Film Board

The Hart House Film Challenge is an initiative of the Hart House Film Board and the U of T Film Festival.  This ongoing short film challenge aims to inspire creative filmmaking through weekly story crafting challenges within a 74 hour time-frame.

How it works
A new challenge begins every Friday at 10 am. Participants have until the following Monday at noon to upload their movies on our  Submission Videos page.  Each week has a pre-assigned theme or genre (see the Calendar) and at the beginning of each challenge we will add a given word, phrase or prop that the participants much also incorporate into their film.  Each film must be under 5 minutes in length. At the end of each month, all eligible participants will be entered into a prize-draw.  All enteries will also be eligible for the UofT Film Festival.

How to Enter
To enter a weekly challenge sign up on the Enter a Challenge page prior to 10am on any given Friday. At 10am that Friday, participants will receive an email containting specific details pertaining to that week's challenge.  These details will also be posted on our website.  To be eligible for prizes, your video must be uploaded to our Submission Videos page by the following Monday at noon.
