Art in Hart House
Presented by Hart House Art Committee and the Justina M. Barnicke Gallery
Details: Join us once a month to explore Hart House's eclectic, contemporary art collection. Curated by the Justina M. Barnicke Gallery, the collection spans close to 100 years and features work by some of Canada's most acclaimed artists. While much of the collection is touring in shows internationally, there are a number of important pieces on display within Hart House. Our tours will provide an insider's guide to unique pieces that played a role in shaping the landscape of Canadian art.
Conclude your tour by visiting our current exhibition Models for Taking Part, an assembly of media works by international artists: Anetta Mona Chişa & Lucia Tkáčová (b. Slovakia and Romania), Bouchra Khalili (b. Morocco), Renzo Martens (b. the Netherlands), Tobias Zielony (b. Germany), and Artur Żmijewski (b. Poland).
