Hart House Art Committee

Hart House is a living laboratory of social, artistic, cultural and recreational experiences where all voices, rhythms and traditions converge. As the vibrant home for the education of the mind, body and spirit envisioned by its founders, Hart House encourages and supports activities that provide spaces for awakening the capacity for self-knowledge and self-expression.

Hart House Art Committee Mandate

Join Contemporary Art enthusiasts in curating the walls and halls of Hart House, studio visits of Toronto's foremost artists, trips to prominent local galleries, selection and acquisition of new work for the House, and programming art education activities. The Hart House Art Committee provides students who are passionate and/or curious about the world of art (outside of lecture halls) an opportunity to meet like-minded individuals and work together to connect Hart House to Toronto's vibrant Contemporary Art scene. The Committee was started in 1922 and has continuously provided its members with a sense of community and invaluable professional experience.
